Jeanne Franklin

Jeanne Franklin is a certified mediator in Virginia, and has been a practicing attorney since 1971, with special concentration on employment issues, the wide range of healthcare delivery issues, problems , and policy, and previously, American Indian law. When serving her clients, she put to work useful knowledge gained from her study in the field of Organization Development. Her many work experiences, as well as substantive knowledge gained in her fields of practice, taught much about what helps people and groups identify their objectives, and productive ways to go about achieving them. In her career as a practicing attorney, she was sometimes been called upon to help clients develop large scale projects and programs as the positive development flowing from the resolution of the underlying disputes. As of May, 2018, Ms Franklin retired from legal practice to focus exclusively on the kinds of mediation and facilitation services offered through FranklinSolutions.

In addition to certification as a mediator, and as a mentor mediator,Ms. Franklin has served on the ADR Task Force of the American Health Lawyers Association ADR Service, where she is a mediator panelist. She is a member of the Council of the Virginia Joint Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution, and a panelist with Virginia Dispute Solutions. Ms. Franklin works collaboratively with other professionals in the ADR community in response to specific project needs. She has been recognized by Virginia Business, in its Legal Elite ADR listing, since 2005. She has written and presented on various health law issues and uses of ADR in evolving healthcare systems and conflicts.
